Active Ingredient: TIGECYCLINE
Tigecycline is a glycylcycline antibiotic used for complicated skin and intra-abdominal infections that demonstrates no clinically significant effect on cardiac repolarization or QTc intervals. In a randomized, placebo-controlled, four-period crossover thorough QT study in 48 healthy volunteers with moxifloxacin positive control, therapeutic (50 mg) and supratherapeutic (200 mg) doses showed that the upper limit of the 90% confidence interval for mean placebo-corrected QTcF change from baseline remained strictly below 5 ms over 96 hours. Linear mixed-effects modeling confirmed no concentration-dependent effect (p = 0.755).
