Active Ingredient: TEDUGLUTIDE

QTc Interval Status:
neutre

Clinical Description (Database Summary)

Teduglutide (a glucagon-like peptide-2 analog used in short bowel syndrome) may not affect cardiac repolarization or QTc intervals. In a randomized Thorough QT study of 72 healthy volunteers, single subcutaneous doses at therapeutic (5 mg) and supratherapeutic (20 mg) levels produced placebo-corrected QTcF upper 95% confidence bounds of 3.0 ms and 4.5 ms, respectively, well below the 10-ms clinical threshold. QTcF time-course curves for teduglutide were virtually superimposable with placebo.
