Active Ingredient: TAFAMIDIS
Tafamidis is a transthyretin (TTR) stabilizer used for TTR amyloid cardiomyopathy and familial amyloid polyneuropathy that demonstrates no clinically significant effect on cardiac repolarization or QTc intervals. In a randomized, double-blind, three-period crossover thorough QTc study in 42 healthy volunteers with moxifloxacin positive control, a single supratherapeutic dose of 400 mg (achieving Cmax of 20.36 ug/mL) showed that the upper bound of the two-sided 90% confidence interval for baseline-adjusted QTcF difference from placebo remained strictly below 10 ms across all time points.
