Active Ingredient: OSIMERTINIB

QTc Interval Status:
prolongation

Clinical Description (Database Summary)

Osimertinib is associated with a 4.3% incidence of QT prolongation and a 2.6% incidence of cardiac dysfunction in real-world clinical settings. In a retrospective cohort study of 538 patients, Grade ≥3 QT prolongation occurred in approximately 1.5% of cases. The median time to onset for QT prolongation was notably delayed at 246 days, while cardiac dysfunction appeared after a median of 171 days. Continuous cardiac monitoring beyond the first year of treatment is essential, especially for older patients and those with pre-existing comorbidities.
